One of main preoccupations of Dumona is to use earth’s natural richness while the same time preserving the environment.
Its for this reason we work in close cooperation with all the organizations and environmental groups that aid in the protection of nature. This can be witnessed at our 2 Peats bogs situated in Isere (Boulieu 38) and in the region of champagne Ardenne (Buzancy 08).
Here Dumona respects the european environmental reglementation 85/337/EEC, Natura 2000, Bird Directive 79/409/EEC as our committinent to the various environmental groups.
Dumona have fixed a second objective to use renewable raw materials as an alternative to peat.
As a result we have developed substrates based on composted maritime pine Bark and coco-nut fibre.
Our willingness to be close to our customers and to respond to their needs are the reasons we put so much effort into innovation and research.
Dumona have developed a range of grow bag products based exclusively on coco nut fibre (coir pith) used principally for the growing of tomatoes, cucumbers and roses. We also use coco nut fibre in many of our mixes for horticulture.
We put great emphasis on the exploitation of this natural and renewable resource coco fibre as well as maritime pine bark. This is part of our on going development of renewable products used in the manufacture of organic growing media.
For this reason, we have recently put in place a new range of Horticulural products based on coco fibre.
